Reducing risk of STI/HIV among Male Sex Workers and their Clients
in Mumbai.

Summary:
With technical assistance from FPAI and FHI, for the past one
year HST has been providing outreach services, conducting capacity
building programs for staff and outreach team, organizing events,
distributing condoms and clinical services through clinic and
health camps.
The services are intended to reduce vulnerability of STI/HIV
among Male sex workers and to empower this community for program
ownership. HST has been able to provide these services to approximately
1983 Male Sex Workers (hereafter called as "Key Population"-KP)
as of November 2006. The process of community mobilization has
already begun at HST and this has been achieved through formation
of various groups and committees in the form of 26 Aastha Gats,
Clinic Advisory Committee (CAC), DIC Committee, Task Force Committee
(TFC), Event Management Committee (EMC) and Project Advisory
Group (PAG).
